NBA Player Dress Code
1. General Policy: Business Casual
Players are required to wear Business Casual attire whenever they are engaged in team or league business.
"Business Casual" attire means
A long or short-sleeved dress shirt (collared or turtleneck), and/or a sweater.
Dress slacks, khaki pants, or dress jeans.
Appropriate shoes and socks, including dress shoes, dress boots, or other presentable shoes, but not including sneakers, sandals, flip-flops, or work boots.
2. Exceptions to Business Casual
There are the following exceptions to the general policy of Business Casual attire:
a. Players In Attendance At Games But Not In Uniform
Players who are in attendance at games but not in uniform are required to wear the following additional items when seated on the bench or in the stands during the game:
Sport Coat
Dress shoes or boots, and socks
b. Players Leaving the Arena
Players leaving the arena may wear either Business Casual attire or neat warm-up suits issued by their teams.
c. Special Events or Appearances
Teams can make exceptions to the Business Casual policy for special events or player appearances where other attire is appropriate -- e.g., participation in a basketball clinic.
3. Excluded Items
The following is a list of items that players are not allowed to wear at any time while on team or league business:
Sleeveless shirts
Shorts
T-shirts, jerseys, or sports apparel (unless appropriate for the event (e.g., a basketball clinic), team-identified, and approved by the team)
Headgear of any kind while a player is sitting on the bench or in the stands at a game, during media interviews, or during a team or league event or appearance (unless appropriate for the event or appearance, team-identified, and approved by the team)
Chains, pendants, or medallions worn over the player's clothes
Sunglasses while indoors
Headphones (other than on the team bus or plane, or in the team locker room)
I was browsing thru NBA.com and I simply had to blog this down. DRESS CODES FOR NBA PLAYERS!?!?! So funny. Mus be all the rap & hip-hop influence. I can only think of one person who's gonna be severely affected by this: Allen Iverson. No more walking out of dressing rooms in over-sized tees and berms with loads of metal hanging ard and plugging in to ur mp3s. Luckily the Spurs are already quite decently dressed even without this ruling.

OH yeahh.. The previous previous post wasnt abt closing down of this blog. Its abt me being unable to blog for the next few days due to.. WORK & of cos my bday celebrations lah. Jus trying to reflect the scenario of wat I'm facing in work, like a dart board receiving all the darts. Anyways I've revived for those who thot that my blog has died.
(GRR I wanna do forecast but the file being used by someone else.. grr.. Waiting in progress for the past 5 min and falling asleep..)
The staff meeting went fine, other than the kok-ups dat is common. I wore my white Dano shirt and Levis jeans + red converses. Try to imagine the combi, its kinda.. weird. mwahhahaah. My BB always say my red shoes are hard to miss. So red! K la, I like wearing those "presentation shirts" but no pt wearing when there's no special occasion or wat-so-ever. Then the ppl in the office were like,"Wahh so decent today arh?; Wahh all ready for the staff meeting?" [-_-"] Ya la ya la, I'm a pai gia most of the time in polo tees and jeans & WHATS there to get prepared abt the meeting? Facilitate only mah. Its the coordination of the meeting dats hard.
Met up with Birdy after the meeting which ends ard 6.40pm. Left office at 7 after packing my stuff and changing water. We went for the grill-urself restaurant at Taka (I still cant rem the name). Grilling steak urself was fun, other than getting the stink all over ur clothes.
We went for an overnight ktv at Paradiz Kbox. Yes 2 persons only. Sang until 4 in the morning. It was drizzling lightly when we exited the place. Since the Bird is wide awake (I'm like stoning..), we walked to Bugis hoping to see any midnight buses to Geylang for supper/breakfast. None there, so we hoped into a cab and ask the driver for food recommendations. We were brought to a Dim Sum store at Lor 15. Quite good but expensive. We then walked to Lor 9 for Dao Huey (I still prefer Rocher Rd Dao Huey) and finally decided to get a Mercs cab home. So we walked from Lor 9 till Lor 44, chancing by 5 Mercs cabs due to various reasons, finally boarding one at ard 6.40am. Reached home ard 7, bathed a bit, switched on lappy for patching and plonked into dreamland until 11.45am.
Drummed Maroon 5 again, on new snare drums. Pretty cool. Met up with San for dinner. Reserved at Tao's but we went Sunshine Plaza due to too much time to burn AND ate dim sum there. Bad decision although the dim sum was good. Struggled thru our meal in Tao's with a joker waiter, a large NOISY family to my left and a "couple" (dunno couple anot) to my right. I think Tao's and JuJu are under the same mgmt. Same concept, same feel.
We went for a walk along Boat Quay intending to have a drink. I was attracted by the Newcastle match on tv. Newcastle now = OWEN!! ^.^ After walking the whole stretch, we jus chin-chai-ingly went into one pub with TV and glued ourselves to the set. Owen~~ Only a few glimpses of him and NEWCASTLE LOST! #$^$%^#$% We ordered a pint of Heineken each not knowing how BIG is a pint. Too big, too much, but I finished it all + full bladder. [-_-"] Next match, Liverpool vs Blackburn. Darn loads of chances and shots on target but NO GOALS. Duhh.. We left for home at half-time.
Was super darn tired on Sunday after the overnight and 4+ hrs of sleep. I think I slept from 1am-12pm. Woke up, ate a bit, on tv, watch until zzz AGAIN until bo bian have to wake up and go for my 2nd ktv trip. Poly folks this time.
Took leave yesterday despite having a coordination meeting (Not really needed there). Pontang-ded oso. HEY ITS MY BIRTHDAY OK! Bo chups. 3rd ktv session in 4 days. 0.0 This time with San they all. Sing until no song to sing.
So to conclude it all, I spent my birthday in ktv.
I'm alone in my dept.. AGAIN! Dunno where my boss went. So sleepy and its lunchtime now. Nobody jio-ing me out. zzz.. And so many out-of-my-scope-but-covering-for-ppl things to do! zzz...
